Lead Communication Analyst

Job Description

The successful candidate will work in the Infrastructure organization and troubleshoot problems and provide technical expertise for architecture, administration, and support of:

 

  • Voice technologies such as Cisco VoIP, Exchange UM, Lync Server
  • Servers and applications
  • Storage systems
  • Virtualization technologies

 

The applicant must be able to troubleshoot complex Infrastructure issues in a multi-homed enterprise server environment, and work independently with little supervision. Being able to operate in a geographically dispersed enterprise is a must. 

 

The position requires the ability to administer solutions based on Cisco and Microsoft technology stacks, as well as a host of other associated software and hardware vendors. The successful candidate will be able to maintain a working knowledge of all Teledyne enterprise architecture standards as well as troubleshoot, analyze and resolve system and Enterprise directory services, server, and application problems.

 

Must be able to operate in an environment where information security is a top priority.

 

Occasional travel will be required.


Job Requirements

Teledyne Technologies currently has a Lead Communications Analyst position available for a highly motivated individual with strong working experience in the following areas:

  • Cisco Unified Communications
  • Microsoft Exchange Unified Communications
  • Microsoft Lync
  • Mobile Device Management
  • Video Conferencing (VTC)

 

Position will be responsible for day-to-day installation, administration, and maintenance of Cisco Voice over IP, Microsoft Exchange Unified Messaging, Microsoft Lync Server, and various other communication platforms.

 

At least 7 years’ experience with information systems related technologies in a Microsoft Active Directory environment

 

Ability to obtain a Security Clearance  


Skill Requirements

  • Cisco Voice over IP:  Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Telephone Provisioning, Call Routing, Translations, IOS Coding of Voice Routers and Associated Modules, IP SIP Trunking
  • Microsoft Exchange Unified Messaging: Dial Plan and Voicemail Provisioning, Auto Attendants
  • Windows PowerShell
  • Good understanding of Voice over IP topologies and call flow
  • Familiar with traditional telephony systems such as PBX’s and analog circuits
  • Familiar with a wide range of mobile devices
  • Microsoft Windows Server: Clustering, Network Load Balancing, DHCP, DNS, IIS.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Lync
  • Supporting Technologies: Strong Networking Skills, Familiarity with SAN Fiber Channel
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • The following certifications are desirable: MCSE, CCNA, CCNA Voice, Network+, Security+, VMWare


Education Requirements

BS in Computer Science, MIS, or Equivalent
