Develop software using established software requirements, development plans, and test plans for a space-based distributed embedded software system designed to control a multi-axis robotic platform. Development will be performed with VxWorks and Linux development tool suites. Candidate will be teamed with a SW Systems Engineer assisting in all aspects of this task. Develop and document operating software code, design and develop debugging routines, and ensure compliance with SW Configuration Management principles. Software will control the operation of all system electrical components to include power on/off, sensor measurements, system and subsystem health data transmission, algorithm computing, subsystem commanding, and data file construction, labeling, and transmission. Candidate will participate in system testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and quality assurance.
Candidate will work in a multi-discipline team environment which ultimately produces a product ready for launch and deployment on a spacecraft.
